My Story

Dr. K. Hawkins is a native of the south side Chicago, IL but raised on North side of Omaha, NE. She is the mother of 3 adopted children, raising them and nurturing her relationship with God is her greatest joy.

Dr. Hawkins is the CEO of Dr. K. Hawkins Counseling, Coaching and Motivational Services LLC in Omaha, NE. Through counseling she helps to merge the need for spiritual health along with mental health, and hopes to inspire the therapeutic community to embrace faith as a viable treatment method for mental illness along with psychotherapy and medicine.

She is a monthly contributor on 95.7FM radio station in Omaha, NE and a sought after speaker on the topics of the role of the church in world events, women in ministry and faith vs medicine. She has regular guest appearances on several podcasts and panels where she is known as a resiliency specialist.

Dr. Hawkins has coined the phrase, "The pain of healing, is much less than the pain it heals".
